Do you have any sample pages I can review?
All leagues are different and we do not want to show you something that your league is not interested in. So, instead, we allow you to create your own league absolutely free! Create your own league, run the Free Agent report, add some teams and players, play until your heart’s content. We feel that this is the best way for you to learn the site and see all of the features RotoLeague has to offer. Real statistics will not be applied to your league, but that’s the only feature that is not available until payment is received. If you have any questions, of course, just let us know!

When is scoring updated?
Each night, RotoLeague receives data from our stat provider, ESPN SportsTicker, with all of the stats from the previous night’s games. Our automated stat engine imports this data and automatically calculates the latest stats and standings for all leagues.

Will RotoLeague feature Live in-game scoring?
We will not be offering live scoring for the upcoming baseball season. We understand that this option is attractive to some of our prospective customers and we are working hard to add this feature in the near future

What do I do if I forgot my password or I want to change it?
If you have forgotten your password and are unable to log in, click the link “Forgot Your Password?” and we will e-mail your password to you. If you are successfully logged in, but would like to change your password, click the User Profile link after logging in. Here, you can change your password and any other personal information.

I've adjusted the service time but my standings are not updated, what do I do?
If you have made some retroactive transactions in your league, you can either wait until our automated standings generator calculates your league standings for you overnight. Or, if you want to see the changes immediately, click the Calculate Standings link in the Commissioner section of any page. Select the effective date that the retroactive change was made and your standings will be re-calculated from that date forward.

How do I change a player's salary?
To change any information about a player, click on the Wildcards link in the Commissioner section of any page.

How do I manually alter a schedule after it has been generated?
The commissioner can manually change the league schedule (for head-to-head leagues only, of course), by clicking on the Schedule link in the Commissioner section of any page. At the bottom of the page, you can select a date and then remove any scheduled games that you no longer need or that you want to change. After removing any unwanted games, use the Add a Game Schedule section at the bottom of this page to add a new game to your league schedule. If you want a team to have a bye week, simply select the team and choose “Free Game” as their opponent.

Do I need to click the position box in the League Scoring link or is this optional?
Only select the By Position checkbox if you want scoring to be limited to certain positions for the selected category. For the majority of leagues, this box should not be checked.

What are the differences between Rotisserie, Points and Head-to-Head scoring types?
  • Rotisserie - The original scoring method of all fantasy leagues. Each team is ranked from top to bottom in all scoring categories. In a ten-team league, the team at the top of a particular category is given ten points, the second place team given nine, all the way down to the last place team, which is given one point. All points are then added toegether to arrive at an overall winner.
  • Points-Based - Each team is awarded points for player performance. For example, 4 points for a home run or 6 points for a touchdown. Teams simply accumulate points throughout the season and the team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion.
  • Head-to-Head - Most often used for football, teams are matched up against each other each week with the team accumulating more points being awarded a win and the other team being awarded a loss. The team with the best won-loss record at the end of the season is the winner.

What are the differences between waivers and free agent acquisition budgets (FAAB)?
  • Waivers - When players are dropped from teams, rather than immediately going to the free agent list, a player is placed on waivers for a period of 24 to 48 hours. All teams then will have an equal opportunity to claim the player. If multiple teams claim the same player, the team highest on the league's waiver order will be awarded the player.
  • FAAB - The FAAB (Free Agent Acquisition Budget) allows all teams to bid for free agents. The team with the highest bid ($0 being acceptable) when our overnight FAAB process is run will be awarded the player.
  • Neither - If neither waivers nor the FAAB is used, any players released by their teams are immediately available as a free agent to be acquired by any team.
